The Society was founded in 1992 to encourage the love of music especially amongst the young. We aim to provide live music in different genres (chamber concerts, jazz, choral music, organ recitals, concerts by and for young people) performed by highly gifted professional artistes, many of whom have international recognition.  Probably no other local venue provides such recitals on a regular basis throughout the year and at a very reasonable expense.
